This car and its owner are well known in Canberra club circles, the former having been restored on a rolling basis over the last 20 years. The ‘Birth Certificate’ shows it started life in Houston TX, found its way to Adelaide in the early 90s, was converted to RHD then moved to Royalla near Canberra, where a new owner installed the original Lucas PI system. Since 2004 with the current owner, it has undergone a complete progressive makeover with two-pack paint , new aluminium fuel tank, Bosch fuel pump, Bosch alternator, complete new interior with burr walnut dash and door tops, new hood and cover when folded, tonneau, hi-torque starter, spin oil filter, new alloy wheels, Tunstall rear drive half shafts, engine overhaul and balance with period badges and exterior trim. The PI fuel unit was also overhauled by Greg Tunstall in Brisbane. It has only been driven 7000 miles in the last 19 years with one trip to Sydney for the NRMA Australia Day exhibition..
